The Forbidden Chapter
If you love reading fantasy, romance, thriller, queer books with a cup of cozy coffee, then you have to visit The Forbodden Chapter. Not only do they have a wonderful array of local and international authors, but the interior is both regal and welcoming. Don't miss out on their community events if you're someone who seeks to make more bookish friends.

Abbotsford Convent
Explore the exhibitions currently on show, indulge at one of their cafes, and explore the grounds. The Abbotsford Convent holds a charm from another time. Now helping to bring the community together, through events, exhibitions and studio spaces. We loved attending their farmers market, but it's also a great place for you and your friends to have a picnic and get creative.

Through the Looking Glass
This is by far our favourite place to discover vintage and second-hand books. Not only is the store cute, but the surrounding street is breathtaking. Travel there on a winter's day to see the morning fog weave in between the ancient trees along the main road leading up to the bookstore in Sassafras. Our best second-hand book finds always come from this store.

Montsalvat
If we could live here forever dressed in regal medieval outfits, we would. Have a picnic and explore the grounds of Montsalva with architecture that feels like you’ve stepped into a medieval-inspired movie. If you're someone who loves getting dressed up and taking photos, then this needs to be your next location.

Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm
Take the drive day trip up to Daylesford and explore all their cute stores (our second favourite book store also lives here). Then head to Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm, to feel like you're in the Italian countryside. Here you're able to walk around their property, but our favourite part is the lavender scones with tea and coffee.
