Okay, but why?
Why did I start Enchanting Realms....
Enchanting Realms isn't the first brand I've started. If you know me personally or from my other brand, you would know I'm the founder of Celestin, a slow fashion label that creates whimsical clothing. That's important because when I started that brand, I wanted to create community events that had workshops and hosted other small businesses... sound familiar? The sad truth is Celestin didn't have the backing to do something like that, and what I wanted to create sounded like its own energetic entity.
If we were having a coffee together, I would tell you about the moment that sent me over the edge as a small business, vending at craftmarkets. The real push that made me dive headfirst into creating an event-based brand. We aren't though, so I won't. Instead, I'll tell you this.
Enchanting Realms was built to be your gateway. The gateway to you realising you're not alone in your love for all things folklore, fantasy and mythology. A gateway for you to discover local brands that can help you cultivate an enchanting life so you're not longing to always escape to a fantasy world, instead you've created that world... minis the dragon. It's a place where you can feel accepted in your interests and not be judged by them. This was always a space I craved for one that was honest and uplifted people. Highlighting handcrafted and locally made products.
As Enchanting Realms hopefully grows I never want to lose my north star. Enchanting Realms was born out of a moment I thought I was getting incinerated by a devastating moment that came with running my small business. Surrounded by ashes, I realised one of my greatest strengths has always been my imagination and my fascination with myths and fantasies.
So, in short, why did I start Enchanting Realms? I wanted to create a market that did its very best to always have the small businesses at the front of its mind. I wanted a place where people like you and me could gather together and embrace who we are.
Sincerley,
Celest
